Cross-border data transfer
Sending personal data to a party or server outside Indonesia.
Many AI services process data on servers abroad. Under the PDP Law that is a transfer of personal data outside Indonesian jurisdiction, which has its own conditions, such as equal protection in the destination country or the data subject's consent. Before sending personal data to an AI service, find out where it is processed.
