Runbook
A record of tested operating steps, written so someone else can repeat them safely.
A runbook holds the sequence of commands, how to check the result of each step, and how to back out if it fails. Write it before a risky deploy, rehearse it once, and update it after every incident. An agent following a runbook is easier to supervise than one improvising.
Also called: Runbook, playbook, operations procedure
