Repository
A project folder whose change history is tracked by git, on your laptop or on a shared server.
A repository (repo) holds the code and its whole history. There is a copy on your local machine and a shared repository the team uses. Never keep secrets in a repository: git history remembers everything, including files that were later deleted.
Also called: Repository, repo
