Production and staging
Production is the version real people use; staging is a copy for trying things before they go there.
Production is where real users and real data live, so every change there carries risk. Staging copies production without real personal data, as the place to rehearse migrations and deploys. Access to production is limited: agents work in staging, and steps into production go through approval.
