Merge
Combining the changes of one branch into another, usually into the main branch.
A merge is when work officially enters the main version. Before a merge, the tests pass, the diff has been reviewed and the project owner agrees. An agent may prepare the branch, but the decision to merge into the main branch stays with the person responsible for the release.
