An open protocol that standardises how AI apps connect to tools and data sources.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets one connector work with many AI apps, like one plug type for many devices. An MCP server provides tools or data; the AI app uses them. Before installing an MCP server, check who made it, what data it can read, and which actions it can take.
