Security vulnerability
A flaw in software that someone else can use to do something they should not be able to do.
Vulnerabilities can sit in your code or in the libraries and frameworks you use. Published vulnerabilities usually get an identifier and a severity, with the affected versions and the patched version. Pin dependency versions, read advisories for your main dependencies, and patch critical ones as soon as you can.
