Context window
The maximum number of tokens a model can see in one go.
The context window covers everything sent to the model: system instructions, conversation history, documents you paste, and its own answer. If a conversation gets too long, the early parts can be cut off or get less attention. So for important tasks, it is better to start a new conversation with short, complete context.
