Exit code
The number a command reports when it ends: usually 0 means success, anything else means failure.
An exit code is how a command says whether it worked. Scripts and pipelines read it to decide whether to continue or stop. When an agent reports "done", ask it to show the command's exit code; text that sounds successful does not mean the command passed.
