Anonymisation
Processing data until there is no reasonable way left to identify the person.
Truly anonymised data no longer points to a particular person, for example an aggregate such as "12 of 80 staff at the eastern branch". Replacing names with codes is not anonymisation; it is pseudonymisation, because the codes can still be traced back to the person, and a unique job title, date or place can also give them away. For small office tables, true anonymisation is rarely reached. Before giving data to AI, first drop what the task does not need.
