Workflow
A fixed sequence of steps, some done by AI, in an order the AI does not change on its own.
A workflow follows a path you set: step one, two, three, with AI at some points. An AI agent is different: it chooses its own next step. If a task can be drawn as a fixed sequence, a workflow is cheaper, easier to check and safer than an agent.
